How can I view a PDF file that I downloaded from your web site?

To view PDF files you will need the most recent version of  Adobe Acrobat . Please click on the link provided and download the software. You will then be able to view the PDF file that you are interested in. 


I use a MAC. When I try to download a PDF it downloads as "Download Binary" and I can not open the file. Is there a solution to this?

After you download the document from the web site, a white page appears called "Download Binary". If you add ".pdf" to the end of "Download Binary," it will convert the document into a PDF file. 


How do I view colours online?

Currently we do not offer colors in JPG form. To view colours on-line we offer our Personal Colour Viewer® v2.0. The professional version is equipped with a comprehensive library of interior and exterior images, along with the option of importing your own images for a truly customized color experience. The professional version allows you to import images from a digital camera, scanner or CD and, allows you to print dramatic before and after presentations. You can order the professional version online by clicking here , or visit your local Benjamin Moore retailer.


Why did you change the web site?

Our industry is constantly changing and evolving. In order to better serve our existing and future consumer and professional customers, we redesigned the web site to improve the user experience, functionality, and to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.


Why do you not have a Search Tool?

We recognize that this is an important feature to have in order to find the information you need. This functionality is coming soon.


How is the web site best viewed?

Benjaminmoore.com is best viewed by Internet Explorer 6.x or higher, Mozilla Firefox® 2.x or higher, or equivalent browser software. If your browser is older, you may have trouble viewing many of our web site features properly. You can determine the version of your browser by choosing "Help" at the top of your browser window, then select "About" (your browser).

This web site is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. With most computers using Windows operating systems, you can easily change your screen resolution. Right click on the Desktop. When the "Display Properties" box appears, choose "Settings.” Your screen resolution settings are located there. Change the setting and click "OK." Check your computer's user manual if these directions do not apply to your computer. The benjaminmoore.com web site is very graphic intense and has a large amount of built-in multimedia. You will need the most recent versions of Adobe Flash Player (currently version 9) and Adobe Acrobat (currently version 8) in order to view the web site.


How do I register?

Move your mouse over “My Favourites” at the top right of the navigation (menu) bar. This bar is available on every page of the site. A box will appear, prompting you to register. Click on “Get Started” and you will be taken to another page that contains the Register screen. Click on the “Register Now” button and the registration form will appear.


Colours on my computer screen do not appear the same when I print them. Why?

On-screen and printer colour representations may vary from actual paint colours due to differences in monitor calibrations and printer variations.

Where is the Paint Calculator?

The Paint Calculator is located in the For Your Home section. From that section click on Learn How, and then select the Paint Calculator from the left side navigation menu.

Where is the link to AEC Daily?

The link to AEC Daily is located in the For Contractors section. Select "Business Resources" and then "Professional Tools" to access the link to AEC Daily.


Where can I order Big Chips or swatches on the architectural site? I can’t find them.

The link to Order Color Sheets is located in For Architects and Designers under Professional Resources. The link can be found in the left side navigation menu.


Can you recommend architectural representatives to help?

Benjamin Moore has knowledgeable architectural sales representatives available to help you with your specifications.
