Make a big splash in your bath with fabulous paint colours that will turn your space into a luxurious spa!

The bathroom is one of the most personal spaces in any home. Whether it's large or small, classic or contemporary, it's a room that has transcended beyond simply functional—in fact, in many homes the bathroom rivals the local spa!

Here's a quick recap of the latest trends in home baths:

    • The next question is colour. Which hues will best complement today's "natural and luxurious" bath trends? By far, the most popular paint colours for the home spa are neutral.


    Bathroom 1 - Grey Neutrals
    Warm greys like pashmina  (AF-100) and manchester tan  (HC-81) are tones that I turn to for a variety of interior applications and are the perfect solutions for these two beautiful baths!

    Both of these greys have a subtle, timeless feel that allows them to morph seamlessly into any space—modern or traditional.

    A matte paint finish adds to the elegance, far more than yesterday's high-gloss walls, which seem far too utilitarian today!


    Bathroom 2 - Cool Colours
    If you love the spa feel but crave a little more colour, choose from the cool blue or green colour families to bring a touch of freshness to your bath.

    Gray wisp  (CC-670) and spa  (AF-435) are two of my favourites. They both have enough grey in them to work well with natural materials, and also enough colour intensity to contrast nicely with the clean, modern look of white tiles.


    Warmer Tones
    If warmer tones are more your style, look to pale corals or warm golds. Yellow—especially with green undertones—is the least complementary to most skin tones, so save it for another room in your home.

    Safari  (AF-335) is a welcome hue for the bath, and terra bella  (AF-195) is an elegant peach that just envelops any space with warmth and coziness!

    Paired with sparkling fixtures, elegant lighting and cozy bath towels, these hues are sure to be the perfect finishing touch to your soothing, tranquil bath experience!
