Program Course Descriptions:

  • Level I, "Stain Fundamentals," covers Benjamin Moore's extensive line of exterior stain products and provides a basic level of understanding about preparation and application techniques. You'll learn how to sell against price-oriented stain products, ultimately increasing your customer base. Participants will take a short test to demonstrate their understanding of the content. This online course is a prerequisite to Level II.
  • The next step, Level II, "Comprehensive Stain Training," is a full-day classroom session that will give you in-depth information about the science of stain formulation and how it applies to different types of wood. Successful completion of this class will designate you as a "Certified Benjamin Moore Stain Contractor."
  • New for 2012: Level III, "Managing Expectations & Problem Solving," is an ongoing continuing education course required to maintain certification status. This half-day class is tailored to sharing real-life experiences and problem-solving strategies with peers and stain experts.
