Benjamin Moore stores are not part of a franchise. As such, they do not pay franchise fees or royalties. However, they do receive the training and support characteristic of a franchise system, and they enjoy greater independent decision-making power in running their business compared to a typical franchisee.
To be a candidate for Benjamin Moore’s New Entrepreneur Program, a retailer must have access to a minimum of $275,000. Of that sum, $75,000 must be in cash.
In addition to a total minimum of $275,000 to be considered for the New Entrepreneur Program, you will also need a strong credit history. An entrepreneurial background, along with retail, general business, or industry experience is preferred.
Benjamin Moore provides retailers in its New Entrepreneur Program financial support in excess of $175,000 during their store’s first two years of operation.
