A team of dedicated artisans from nonprofit decorative arts studio The Alpha Workshops has collaborated with longstanding partners Benjamin Moore to create a collection of hand-painted wall coverings. Engineered with design industry professionals in mind, the collection includes CENTURY®, Aura® and Studio Finishes® paints.
Artistry X Partnership
In NYC, five artisans spend their days creating bespoke, hand-painted wallpaper at The Alpha Workshops. Signs of each artists’ hands find a way into the textured wallpaper. You see it in the sumptuous tactility of dripped paint. In the still-visible imprint of the crafter’s sponge. In the diaphanous layers of shimmering colour, only achieved with the lightest touch. At Alpha, there’s an understanding: true beauty is in the hand. That’s why, from the beginning, Benjamin Moore has been their paint of choice.The Alpha Workshops is the only nonprofit organization in the United States to provide decorative arts education and employment to adults and youth with disabilities and other vulnerabilities.

Colour X Design

Palette X Pattern
The Capsule Collection palette—a mix of primaries and neutrals with a layer of metallic glamour—can be easily mixed and matched.- Kimono: Paints take the form of a radiant graphic floral, imprinted atop a rich, matte background.
- Newport: Delicate grids are stamped on the paper in layers to create a geometric masterpiece.
- Topography: Paint is slathered onto a stamp and applied in thick, glossy layers for a marbleized effect.
- Spencer and Horizon: Paint is brushed on in feather-light strokes to textured paper that has been folded like origami.
Most of the wallpaper patterns take a full day to create a single roll. For a truly custom-made paper, customers and designers can add a touch of their hand by choosing a colour scheme for their textured wallpaper.
